Most slow-wifi moments have a simple cause. Run through these six before you reach for the phone — one of them fixes it the vast majority of the time.

  1. Reboot the device, not the network — the network is fine; your laptop or phone may just need a fresh connection.
  2. Move closer to the access point for a minute to rule out distance.
  3. Check for a microwave running — it genuinely interferes with 2.4 GHz wifi.
  4. Forget and rejoin the network on the slow device.
  5. Unplug that one flaky smart plug or old device that keeps dropping — it can drag down the airwaves.
  6. Run a wired test to confirm the circuit is fast (it will be).

Still slow? That's what we're here for — support is on-site every weekday.
