Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about wifi and internet at The Anderson. Still stuck? Support is on-site.

Do I need to bring my own router or modem? +
No. Every home at The Anderson comes with managed fiber internet and built-in wifi — there's nothing to buy, rent, or install. Your unit's network is live before you get your keys.
How do I get online on move-in day? +
Find your unit's network name on the welcome card by your door, grab the password from the resident portal, and connect. Most residents are online in under two minutes.
How fast is the internet? +
It depends how you connect. Wireless (WiFi 6): every unit's wifi runs on a dedicated 1 Gbps circuit with a WiFi 6 access point, and we regularly see up to ~930 Mbps symmetrical (about 930 down and up) on a good, modern device. Wired (10‑gig): each unit also has a true 10 Gbps multigig wall port — with a 10‑gig network card and a fast, nearby speed‑test server we've measured up to ~9 Gbps. One heads‑up: at multi‑gig speeds it's genuinely hard to find a speed‑test server that can keep up, so a wired test often understates what the port can really do.
Is my wifi private and secure? +
Yes. Every unit gets its own private, encrypted network. Your neighbors can't see your devices, and you don't share bandwidth with anyone else.
Does it work at the pool, gym, and coworking lounge? +
Yes — the amenity spaces are on the same fast network, and your one password works property-wide.
Can I connect smart TVs, doorbells, and other smart-home devices? +
Absolutely. Devices you join land on your unit's private network, so casting and app setup just work. Both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz are broadcast automatically, so even older IoT gear connects fine.
Can I rename my network or change the password? +
Yes — rename your SSID, rotate your password, or add a guest network anytime from the resident portal. Changes take effect in seconds.
My wifi seems slow — what should I do? +
Try our 6-step slow-wifi checklist first — it resolves most issues. If you're still stuck, support is on-site every weekday and available 24/7 by phone and chat.
How do I get support? +
